The 5' 7" Nikki Cox (formerly Nicole Avery Cox) was born June 2, 1978, in Los Angeles. By the age of four she was already expressing her interest in entertainment. While taking dance classes, she was "discovered" by an agent who helped Cox land a role in the comedy Mac and Me. She followed this up with appearances in Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, an LA Music Center ballet tour, Paula Abdul's video "Forever Your Girl," and the 1989 MTV Awards show.
When she was 10 years old, Cox landed her first speaking role in Mama's Family. Other TV credits include Star Trek: The Next Generation, Night Court, Murphy Brown, Baywatch, and Boy Meets World. She had a recurring role on Someone Like Me and also joined the cast of General Hosptial. Her self-titled series Nikki lasted just two seasons. The actress has starred in two made-for-television movies: The Ryan White Story and Danger Island. She has appeared in the films Terminator 2: Judgement Day, The Glimmer Man, Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, and Run Ronnie Run.
On a personal note, Cox is married to comedian Bob Goldthwait, whom she met on the set of Unhappily Ever After.
