Born in Edinburgh in 1976, Kirsty soon moved to Berkshire when her father became the Club Pro at Wentworth and she lived in the area before moving to London. A graduate of the London College of Fashion, Kirsty's other interests include art and music but she is as likely to be spotted on the golfing green as in London's art galleries as she has been playing golf since the age of ten. She also actively enjoys swimming, tennis and live football.
The daughter of former Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher, Kirsty previously worked on the other side of the camera first as a production junior before becoming an editorial assistant on Sky Sports' award winning golf coverage. For two years she worked on the European and US PGA Tours including Europe's victory in the 1997 Ryder Cup at Valderrama.
Kirsty has also been a guest on They Think It's All Over on BBC 1, ITV's SM:TV Live and Slap Bang and Mark Owen's Celebrity Scooters for BBC Choice during Euro 2000. Last season she was a regular guest presenter on Virgin Radio's Rock and Roll Football. She currently writes a fortnightly sports column for The Sun.
Her favourite sporting moment was also a very special day in her life when the European team captained by her father became the first team to win the Ryder Cup on American soil at the Oakhill Country Club in September 1995.
Kirsty co-presents weekly football news programme, 90 Minutes, every Friday at 18.00 on Sky Sports 1, alongside Matt Lorenzo.
Over the summer months last year, as well as occasionally presenting on Sky Sports News - Sky's digital 24 hour sports news and information service - Kirsty fronted their Soccer AM show with DJ Spoony.
She has also co-hosted Soccer Extra and reported on major sporting events including the Ryder Cup at Brookline and the FA and Worthington Cups.
Kirsty also works in light entertainment and a second series of her hugely popular show, Kirsty's Home Videos, is currently airing on Sky One. She also co-presented a new and innovative show called What You Want For Christmas which was screened in the run up to Christmas on Sky One.
